PAN-AFRICAN UNIVERSITY PRESS is a product of collaboration among various universities and scholars based in three continents. The idea of the consortium is to circulate publications in a global network that will privilege under-represented academic voices. The Pan-African University Press (PAUP) welcomes manuscripts in all areas of African humanities and social sciences.

PAUP represents immediate and long-term efforts at revitalizing and establishing a formidable platform for seminal discourses related to Africa and the African Diaspora. Its purpose is to harness and make available studies in accessible and affordable formats to all relevant and interested scholars, teachers, students, policymakers, and the broader reading public, all of whom constitute essential partners in the task of promoting a new and more accommodating world culture and order.

To this end, PAUP invites proposals on single-authored monographs based on original research studies, thematically organized edited volumes, metadisciplinary reflections, interdisciplinary projects, and creative works. Authors are invited from all over the world. To be encouraged is the research of a new generation of scholars with fresh data, insights, and interpretations. All Pan-African Press publications pass through a rigorous peer-review process.
